Subject: Re: ref Dr. Mike

Hi Carol:
Why I went thru his course? Well, I spent many months in the "month to month" course, but didn't complete due to a divorce and other life disturbances. I wanted the "paper" (certification), so attended his course. Although I felt I had a fair amount of experience, my son attended with me (he was 12 at the time) and did quite well.

I use hypnosis techniques, as well as NLP, but not professionally. I develop educational software and use a lot of the techniques in demonstrations and presentations. A lot has to deal with self-confidence and composure.
I think that it would be very difficult to "beat the deal" that he's put together. I know that there are several educational programs from California, but ruled them out because of time and/or cost.

Sounds like you realize that hypnosis isn't "magic" and that it doesn't really take a great deal of expert knowledge to use effectively.

Cliff,

Thank you so much for getting back to me. I wanted to at least talk to someone who was familiar with Dr. Mike before making the investment. I fall into your second category. I have a lot of self confidence and motivation. I don't have any training in hypnosis but have used it a lot throughout my life. I live in Southern California and I have also been researching on the net, that's how I found Dr. Mike.

Did you go through his course to supplement your studies? There are some hypnotherapists in Southern Cal, but not a lot of good ones. I am currently a Homicide Investigator and eventually want to start another career. I have used hypnosis in my life and it was very beneficial to me.

So are you a hypnotherapist? Would Dr. Mike's distance learning program be enough to become certified and eventually begin a practice?

Thanks again for your time.

Carol
